Chitra Singh was an extraordinary Indian ghazal vocalist. She was a general accompanist for her second spouse Jagjit Singh, the famous ghazal vocalist, and never sang with the exception of working together with him.

Chitra was conceived in a Bengali family. She had no formal musical preparing, however had a withstanding enthusiasm for music from a youthful age. She was a normal understudy at school, and in the wake of finishing her instruction, tackled a secretarial occupation in Kolkata.

Jagjit Singh himself was the ghazal master yet at whetever point his wife joined along, flawlessness occurred. This is a sad ghazal by them both on which they portray how their lives got demolished and it actually truly did happened with them, very few years after this their child kicked the bucket in a car crash, their girl attempted suicide and died. Jagjit Singh himself kicked the bucket a few days back, so truly this really was the story of how they got destroyed. Now there's only Chitra Singh left, all alone.
